vsl@shipmanagement.cnEstablished in Wuhan in 1982, Qintai Shipping CO., Ltd. is a long-standing international shipping company, originally known as Hubei Qintai Steamship Company and formerly part of China National Foreign Trade Transportation Group (Sinotrans). While legally independent from Bothwin Shipping, Qintai focuses exclusively on ship management, enabled by our official International Transportation Qualification License approved by the Ministry of Transport. Both companies operate from the same office space in Nanjing, working closely together to deliver integrated bulk shipping solutions.
We’ve built a strong, efficient management system and expanded our managed fleet to 26 vessels, with more under negotiation. Our in-house departments handle marine operations, crewing, technical management, and compliance, ensuring smooth and professional service.
We also operate a certified crewing agency in Wuhan to meet evolving staffing needs. Our safety systems are ISM-certified, and we hold DOCs from both China’s Maritime Safety Administration and ClassNK. At Qintai, we focus on safe, cost-effective vessel management that help ship owners maintain and grow the value of their assets across global routes.
At the heart of our operations is a team of highly experienced, professionally trained seafarers. Our crew management services are not just a support function—they are a core strength that sets us apart in the shipping industry. With decades of operational know-how, we provide fully certified officers and crew who meet international standards and deliver reliable, efficient performance at sea.
We understand the pressures shipowners face when balancing performance with operating costs. That’s why we specialize in supplying capable, well-disciplined crews who can operate effectively even under tighter budget constraints and on older vessels — without compromising safety or quality. From recruitment and training to onboard placement and performance tracking, we handle every aspect of crewing with care and precision.
Our long-standing relationships with maritime authorities and training centers ensure that our crews are well-prepared, STCW-compliant, and ready to meet the demands of global shipping. We provide professional manpower and integrated services that keep vessels operating smoothly and competitively—whether for our own fleet or external clients. Whether you're looking to reduce costs, improve efficiency, or scale up or down, our team delivers tailored support with strict adherence to crew and vessel safety protocols.
What We Do
We coordinate the procurement of vessel materials, spare parts, lubricants, equipment, and chemicals according to shipowner or captain requirements. Every purchase is meticulously planned and delivered in line with vessel schedules through a trusted international supply network. All procurement benefits from the same discounted rates enjoyed by our in-house fleet, ensuring competitive pricing and timely delivery.
Our team conducts regular technical inspections to monitor vessel condition, equipment performance, crew operations, and onboard systems. These inspections are systematically planned and executed to identify potential issues early and assist onboard teams in resolving them efficiently, ensuring operational continuity and safety.
From project planning to execution, we manage every stage of the dry docking process. This includes scope definition, shipyard selection, schedule coordination, progress tracking, and cost control. Like our procurement services, dry docking arrangements benefit from preferential pricing aligned with our in-house vessel standards.
We develop tailored operating budgets based on historical data, industry benchmarks, and current market trends. These budgets serve as a financial control framework to help shipowners manage expenditures, improve planning, and maintain profitability.
Our team ensures all vessels remain in seaworthy condition by carrying out maintenance programs that meet the requirements of classification societies and international regulations. This helps minimize downtime and extend vessel lifespan.
We provide continuous oversight of vessel operations and technical performance. Our experts offer strategic guidance to ensure compliance, optimize efficiency, and improve ship condition over time.
Shipowners receive regular reports detailing the operational status, performance metrics, and cost summaries of their vessels. This transparency enables better decision-making and greater confidence in vessel performance.
Our safety management systems are built on the ISM Code and further enhanced by QSMS standards. We ensure all vessels operate according to strict safety and quality protocols, protecting both crew and cargo while meeting international expectations.
We manage the entire flag state registration process, from selecting the appropriate flag to completing vessel documentation and regulatory filings.
We arrange hull and machinery insurance as well as P&I coverage, offering support for claims handling and policy management. Ships under our care benefit from the same favorable insurance terms available to our own fleet.
We prepare vessels with clear contingency plans for emergencies and manage crisis response when needed. Our procedures are designed to mitigate risk and protect assets during unplanned events.
If you need operator support, our dedicated operator division is ready to step in quickly and seamlessly. With deep industry experience and an established global network, we can provide immediate assistance to ensure your vessels stay on schedule and perform efficiently.
