Acuon Capital’s Mr. Whoon‑Joong Kim Visits CEO Liu Xudong in Nanjing

On the afternoon and evening of 20 June 2025, Mr. Whoon‑Joong Kim, Vice General Manager of Acuon Capital Corporation, flew in from Seoul to meet our CEO, Mr. Liu Xudong. The visit marked a reunion of two long‑time friends whose professional bond has grown into a brotherly friendship over nearly a decade.

Their collaboration began on 13 April 2018 in Shekou with the joint acquisition of the vessel “BAO DA.” Between that first deal and the May 2021 purchase of "Bao Lai" in Qingdao, they completed 9 successful vessel purchases. These transactions, worth almost USD 40 million in total, were finalized smoothly and on schedule, fulfilling every contractual obligation and truly delivering win‑win outcomes.

During this visit, Mr. Kim and Mr. Liu reflected on their shared achievements and turned their attention to future opportunities. They agreed that acquiring a 57 K DWT vessel under fifteen years old toward the end of this year or early next year would be a great opportunity.

Both leaders pledged to keep communication lines open and lay the groundwork for this next venture. The meeting not only celebrated past successes but also reaffirmed their commitment to another chapter of profitable cooperation.
